Apocalypse in the Badlands #1

Everybody is talking about the End Times these days. Skeptics scoff at the notion while believers look to interpret world events as signs that it's coming. But I don't need the news or Mayan prophecies to convince me, because I can see it happening in my own backyard. As I write this my room echoes as a plane flies over my house. It happens every five or ten minutes or so, I can barely get a second to think let alone meditate. This wouldn't be so strange if we lived next to an airport, but Newark International is the closest one and it's 45 minutes away. I mean we've always had planes around here, but there's never been this much and they fly so damn low these days, it's insane.

The helicopters are new though, I never used to see them around here. Now after four or fives planes I hear one hover over my house and it gives me the chills. Worse are the military vehicles. Military choppers, C-130s, fly by every once in awhile. They're damn loud, enough that it seems like the house and the whole street shakes as they thunder by. The other day me and my friend were playing ball at the court and we saw two of them flying low, one even had the doors open and I could see tiny guys sitting inside with what looked like guns. I couldn't believe it, it looked straight out of a movie. My friend turned to me, gave me a look and said "What the fuck?!" I had no reply. I even saw a fighter jet about a month ago. It was just a tiny triangle in the sky, but it was so loud I couldn't hear my sister talking next to me.

I guess all the flying vehicles has me looking at the sky a lot, but that's strange in itself these days. The clouds look weird. We usually get totally cloudy gray days or sunny days with a few clouds. These new clouds that block off half the sky, or make crazy wave looking patterns are uncharacteristic this side of the Eastcoast. Add to that the thin misty streaks everywhere. Chemtrails used to be a Youtube thing five months ago. Now I see them spraying on my way to school almost everyday, it distracts me so much sometimes I have to swerve to avoid another car or one of the dead animal carcasses in the road.

That's one of the most disturbing things out here, the roadkill. Dead rabbits, squirrels, and birds litter the road, squashed flat and ready to stick to your tires if you're not careful. But the deer are worse. They're huge and often meet gruesome ends. I've seen a bunch with appendages sticking out at odd angles or even straight up decapitated. There's so many that the township doesn't even try too hard to pick them up before they start rotting. I saw one with it's body mostly gone, just a giant rib cage and decomposed intestines and muscles. That one even grossed me out. And this isn't on back country roads. No, this is all by the main streets with schools and Kmarts and Burger Kings. But the thing is, unless someone points it out most people don't even notice. They know that it's there but because it's nothing new they just tune it out, preoccupied with their own daily troubles. It really says something about the state of things when rotting animal corpses are so common that people don't even notice them anymore.

Times are strange. Dark clouds block the stars at night, so we've taken to sitting outside and watching those ever-present airplanes instead. As they move across the night sky, red and white lights flickering in a sea of blackness, I can't help but get an ominous feeling. Things are changing all over the world, and I know that somehow, as the new year approaches, it will only get crazier.

Americans: Serfs Ruled By Oligarchs

This article was taken from an awesome blog called Quantum Pranx. It has entries on all kinds of subjects ranging from the economy to paradigm shifting to channeling and esoterica. Check it out it's pretty cool.

Americans: Serfs Ruled by Oligarchs

Americans: Serfs Ruled by Oligarchs

Americans think that they have “freedom and democracy” and that politicians are held accountable by elections. The fact of the matter is that the US is ruled by powerful interest groups who control politicians with campaign contributions. Our real rulers are an oligarchy of financial and military/security interests and AIPAC, which influences US foreign policy for the benefit of Israel.
Have a look at economic policy. It is being run for the benefit of large financial concerns, such as Goldman Sachs.
It was the banks, not the millions of Americans who have lost homes, jobs, health insurance, and pensions, that received $700 billion in TARP funds. The banks used this gift of capital to make more profits. In the middle of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, Goldman Sachs announced record second quarter profits and large six-figure bonuses for every employee.
The Federal Reserve’s low interest rate policy is another gift to the banks. It lowers their cost of funds and increases their profits. With the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999, banks became high-risk investment houses that trade financial instruments such as interest rate derivatives and mortgage backed securities. With abundant funds supplied virtually free by the Federal Reserve, banks are paying depositors virtually nothing on their savings.
Despite the Federal Reserve’s low interest rate policy, beginning October 1 banks are raising the annual percentage rate (APR) on credit card purchases and cash advances and on balances that have a penalty rate because of late payment. Banks are also raising the late fee. In the midst of the worst economy since the 1930s, heavily indebted Americans, who are losing their jobs and their homes, are to be bled into bankruptcy by the very banks that are being subsidized with TARP funds and low interest rates.
Moreover, it is the American public that is on the hook for the TARP money and the low interest rates. As the US government’s budget is 50 per cent or more in the red, the TARP money has to be borrowed from abroad or monetized by the Fed. This means more pressure on the US dollar’s exchange value and a rise in import prices and also domestic inflation.
Americans will thus pay for the TARP and low interest rate subsidies to their financial rulers with erosion in the purchasing power of the dollar. What we are experiencing is a massive redistribution of income from the American public to the financial sector.
And this is occurring during a Democratic administration headed by America’s first black president, with a Democratic majority in the House and Senate.
Is there a government anywhere that less represents its citizens than the US government?
Consider America’s wars. As of the moment of writing, the out-of-pocket cost of America’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is $900,000,000,000. When you add in the already incurred future costs of veterans benefits, interest on the debt, the forgone use of the resources for productive purposes, and such other costs as computed by Nobel economist Joseph Stiglitz and Harvard University budget expert Linda Bilmes, “our” government has wasted $3,000,000,000,000–three thousand billion dollars–on two wars that have no benefit whatsoever for any American whose income does not derive from the military/security complex, about which five-star general President Eisenhower warned us.
It is now a proven fact that the US invasion of Iraq was based on lies and deception of the American public. The only beneficiaries were the armaments industries, Blackwater, Halliburton, military officers who enjoy higher rates of promotion during war, and Muslim extremists whose case the US government proved by its unprovoked aggression against Muslims. No one else benefitted. Iraq was a threat to no one, and finding Saddam Hussein and executing him after a kangaroo trial had no effect whatsoever on ending the war or preventing the start of others.
The cost of America’s wars is a huge burden on a bankrupt country, but the cost incurred by veterans might be even higher. Homelessness is a prevalent condition of veterans, as is post-traumatic stress. American soldiers, who naively fought for the munitions industry’s wars, for high compensation for the munitions CEOs, and for dividends and capital gains for the munitions shareholders, paid not only with lives and lost limbs, but also with broken marriages, ruined careers, psychiatric disorders, and prison sentences for failing to make child support payments.
What did Americans gain from an unaffordable war in Iraq that lasted far longer than World War II and that put into power Shi’ites allied with Iran?
The answer is obvious: nothing whatsoever.
What did the armaments industry gain? Billions of dollars in profits.
Obama is the presidential candidate who promised to end the war in Iraq. He hasn’t. But he has escalated the war in Afghanistan, started a new war in Pakistan, intends to repeat the Yugoslav scenario in the Caucasus, and appears determined to start a war in South America. In response to the acceptance by US puppet president of Columbia, Alvaro Uribe, of seven US military bases in Columbia, Venezuela warned South American countries that the “winds or war are beginning to blow.”
Here we have the US government, totally dependent on the generosity of foreigners to finance its red ink, which extends in large quantities as far as the eye can see, completely under the thumb of the military/security complex, which will destroy us all in order to meet Wall Street share price expectations.
Why does any American care who rules Afghanistan? The country has nothing to do with us.
Did the armed services committees of the House and Senate calculate the risk of destabilizing nuclear armed Pakistan when they acquiesced to Obama’s new war there, a war that has already displaced two million Pakistanis?
No, of course not. The whores took their orders from the same military/security oligarchy that instructed Obama.
The great American superpower and its 300 million people are being driven straight into the ground by the narrow interest of the big banks and the munitions industry. People, and not only Americans, are losing their sons, husbands, brothers, and fathers for no other reason than the profits of US armaments corporations, and the gullible American people seem proud of it. Those ribbon decals on their cars, SUVs and monster trucks proclaim their naive loyalty to the armaments industries and to the whores in Washington who promote wars.
Will Americans, smashed and destroyed by “their” government’s policy, which always puts Americans last, ever understand who their real enemies are?
Will Americans realize that they are not ruled by elected representatives but by an oligarchy that owns the Washington whorehouse?
Will Americans ever understand that they are impotent serfs?

Status Report: Snapshot of the World through 4 articles

These stories are taken from the Huffington Post, an independent internet news publication. However, just because these stories happen to coincide with what this blog is about DOES NOT mean they are accurate or even true. In this day and age information can be hidden, distorted, or falsely generated in the blink of an eye. Question Everything.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan's Child Rapist Police Return Behind Shield Of US, UK Troops

Apparently, the people of Afghanistan have been consistently abused by the police governance over the past 8 or 9 years. One of their alleged abuses is the abduction and rape of pre-teen boys. The situation is so bad that the general populace is vowing to support the Taliban just to get rid them. The situation gets stickier considering this police force was not elected by the Afghani people but was assembled from the US backed forces fighting the Taliban in 2001. Aw shit.
Pakistan
Children Hit Hardest By Pakistani Turmoil
The war in Pakistan has displaced so many people, and has taken a toll on the nations children (when does war ever not?). But who cares right? I hope somebody does, for all our sakes

Iran
Iran To Begin Trials of Protesters
The world has been watching the struggle taking place within Iran, and many across the globe are showing their support for people who are attempting to take their destiny into their own hands. This article details the brutal conditions that protesters face, justified in the name of government and God. But they refuse to give in. Long live the revolution.

Swinging For The Stars

Exit (Call Me) - k-os

Sometimes I just don't understand things.

There are so many things I want to do. So many things I can't wait to experience; see, taste, hold, hear- so many things I can't wait to be.

I want to reach my dreams, reach the top of that mountain that has seemed so far ever since I can remember. But every thing I see, everything I hear is saying "give up, that's not reality, you'll never make it.

But there is something I hope for even more than my own dreams. Something so strange and out there that I can't tell even my friends who believe in me because I know they just won't understand; they won't understand that my most secret desire is that somehow, someway we can all find a way to achieve whatever calls to us from the inside, whatever makes us feel happy and energized and alive.

Why? Why do people hate on me for believing that everyone deserves the right to shape their own destiny without others stomping on it? Why do people think I'm crazy just for thinking that a world where you aren't ever truly free to do what rings true to you is a world that I don't want to live in, a world that is worth fighting to change? How can you be so jaded as to believe that life is the way it is and even though it's fucked up nothing you can ever do will change anything? Are you really that convinced of your own powerlessness?

I can't accept that. I'll never accept that. I'ma shoot for the moon, swing for stars and know that one day I will shine for the whole world to see. I know you know which kind of life sounds way more appealing.

So will you stay where you are, never satisfied and forever longing for something more? Or will join me on this quest to find something beyond what we have ever dreamed?

The choice is yours.

Contamination

I don't know how to describe this feeling. It's this weird, almost manic energy except it feels unnatural, unclean. It radiates from my chest somehow, through my arms and legs and face, writhing under my skin with nervous tension, a kind of melancholy anxiety, making me want to move yet corroding my motivation to wright or draw or even get up and eat. So instead I just sit in my chair staring at the screen, paralyzed as time slips by.

Fuck. Go awa
y damnit, I don't want you.

Go awa
y.

Status Report: White-supremecist opens fire in Holocaust Museum

James von Brunn is an artist, World War II vet, oh yea, and one extremely racist son of a bitch. Von Brunn opened fire on the black security guard who opened the door for him, then was shot and critically wounded afterwards. This all took place just blocks from President Obama's Oval Office. It's pretty easy to see this guy wasn't intending to stop with just that; he has already done time for trying to kidnap two members of the Federal Reserve bank (who he says is controlled by Jews), and his writings on the internet include his piece 'Kill the Best Gentiles' and decrying the "browning of America". He also says the Holocaust never happened...

This is being labeled as some of the first signs of domestic terrorism, the third attack this month with political underpinnings.

The other two incidents are: the shooting of two new soldiers by a Muslim convert, and the slaying of abortion activist Dr. Goerge Tiller inside his local church.

Shit.

Stars, Destiny, and Coming Full Circle

image from http://womenofspirit.ning.com/ ...yea it fit that's all.

My very first ambition as a child was to be an astronaut. I was entranced by space; the stars and planets, and awed by supernovas and black holes and such. I didn't know many constellations, but I liked to look for the ones I did at night, and I spent hours looking through my Discovery Store telescope at the surface of the moon. I remember saying I would be the first person to land on Saturn. Eventually I found out that you can't land on Saturn because it isn't solid, and was told there's no way to ever make it there. So that dream faded away, which was okay because it was replaced by another, becoming an NBA star. And so for awhile I played basketball day and I night, I practically
breathed b-ball. I got really sick at it until eventually, I lost interest and moved to the next thing.

Reading, fiction or non for hours and hours on end about everything and anything, then Japanese animation, which lead me to my exploration of the visual arts, the path I pursued throughout the end of highschool till just a few weeks ago. But the one thing I always found pretty weird was the timing of each experience I had. Looking back, I can see how having a psychologist for a mother trained me to think analytically; pretty much trained me to break down motivations and understand social structures. Going to a prestigious private school yet living around "middle/lower-class" kids in an area with an increasing crime-rate helped me learn how to relate to all kinds of kids and fit in almost anywhere. The disconnectedness from my peers led me to delve into the world of music, where artists and bands such as Rage Against the Machine and Immortal Technique influenced me deeply, leading to the philosophies behind this very blog. But what I find most weird is the fact that certain things that I should have been interested in all along I totally ignored until suddenly, when I would be most ready to receive it, I would stumble upon the information that would unlock realizations I had been on the verge of discovering.

One instance I could point out is hacker culture. Being how anime, and specifically cyberpunk anime made a big influence on me as kid, and how addicted to computers and the internet i've always been, you would think that I would have gotten into hacking a long time ago. But for some reason, I pretty much totally ignored it. But then I started thinking a lot about human relations, and how people have always tried to hoard power and resources, and I realized that these days information is power; hence Information Warfare. I'm all about equalizing the balance of power, and low and behold, when I began to look into hacker culture the first things I came across were the concepts Information Dissemination and Open-source resources; the spread of power, information and resources to whoever is willing to seek it. This inspired in me concepts for other, non-technological open-to-anyone ideas like the GRA.

Even stranger is my recent exploration into astrology. Because I was into the cosmos as a little kid, it would make sense that while studying everything from holy books to quantum physics to the occult, I would become interested in astrology. Wrong. Until almost two months ago I could barely remember my sign. But one day I randomly decided to find out more about my zodiac, and when I read about Sagittarius I was shaken because I felt like my inner hunger for knowledge and truth, my overwhelming desire to travel the world and maybe even free other peoples along the way, feelings that I had felt strange and alone with corresponded to where the planets had been when I was born. The deeper I dug, the more I found the thoughts and understandings that I had just recently come to through much soul searching, reflected back to me with eerie precision and clarity.

At this point in my life I have finally found myself ready to make my own answers to the questions that have plagued me growing up, and I find it eerie that the stars and the planets that first intrigued me find themselves in agreement.

A True Revolution

So yea see, I have this burning desire to know everything I guess. I just want to know so much about the world around me; I want to understand these bizarre thoughts and ideas I've always had. I've scoured wikipedia for days at a time, and I've read good deal from most of the holy books. Most recently I've been deep in the digital scrolls of Gnostic philosophy and some other stuff I guess you could call metaphysics. But it doesn't matter what I read, because whether psychology or philosophy or quantum physics, it all leads back to revolution. But what I see as a true revolution is different from most in history.

A true revolution transcends all levels. It's not just about overturning corrupt laws or governments; it goes beyond that. It must help people to understand what true human values are, help them to understand life, their life and allow them the freedom to find out their own answers and truths. That is the concept behind a Meta-Revolution. A revolution of one, a revolution on the inside as well as out. It's about breaking out of all imposed boundaries and being completely free to choose from the vast options in this world.

True freedom is the ability to choose your own destiny and be able to make that destiny a reality. It doesn't matter if society is really turning deeply tyrannical or not, because any thing, system, or even self-imposed limitation that prevents you from pursuing what makes you feel alive is the enemy. Revolutions are always about freeing the people from corrupt governments, but true freedom allows for people to live under such government as long as they choose to. Why they would though, I couldn't guess.

But we're all individuals, we all have to discover what's right for ourselves. Even if it means conforming with everyone else. It's self-determination at it's finest. The problem is that higher powers than most of us, for whatever reason, don't want that. The current state of society is that you work within society, within their rules and regulation that for the most part, you have no say in. We all know that going through the "proper" channels is an exercise in futility at best.

I believe that more and more people are beginning to feel this way, and that it is a belief worth fighting and potentially dieing for. Because as high and transcendental such a revolution sounds make no mistake. This is war.

I believe that is a true revolution.

Fighting for a Chance

The Kill - 30 Seconds To Mars
I tried to be someone else
But nothing seemed to change
I know now: this is who I really am inside
I Finally found myself
Fighting for a chance
I know now, THIS IS WHO I REALLY AM
-30 Seconds to Mars, The Kill

These days I find myself questioning everything that I do; why am I resisting so hard? Whats so bad about just going it the regular way, the, for all intents and purposes, right way. Chasing dreams is tearing apart my family, but going their way is tearing apart me. I guess that's the real reason, everything else just feels so wrong, like I'm wasting the wasting my time in this world instead of doing what I feel I was put here for. I want to feel alive, feel like I'm making a difference, feel like i'm changing this world for better.

I see all kinds of evils in this world; greed, lust for power, hunger, intolerance...I don't want to be someone who can recognize all this but is unwilling to do what is necessar
y to change it. But I love my mother, and she wants me to be a good man, to take my medicine and put my private school education to good use so I can provide for myself within this society. Great, except that this current social construct, the one where your value is determined by who stands above you and who you stand on, and where you are told exactly what an hour of you life is worth based what those higher within the hierarchy feel it should be worth, is one which I am totally incompatible with. And to pretend that I can be who I want to be and learn to love living within such a society is a fantasy.

The Fantasy.

So now I find m
yself fighting for a chance to experience a life outside of these pre-set rules and conditions. I already decided my course, I've chosen my destiny and now it's time to see where this journey will take me, down every dark alley, every war-torn territory and maybe across the stars themselves even...because that is what calls to me, and ignoring it makes me feel empty inside. But I don't want to leave my family forever, even though it seems that breaking away completely is the only option. There has to be a way to do both, to explore this world and seek new adventures without killing a very big part of what matters the most to me in life.

I guess I'm fighting for that chance, too.

Visions: Global Warming/Radiation

This just popped into my mind one day in environmental science class. We were talking about solar radiation, and I was fascinated by the fact that is was damn cold outside but the sun was burning my face without heating up the air through pure solar energy radiation. Then, all of a sudden I saw this image flash in my mind so I sketched it down in my notebook. I finally got around to making this in Illustrator. The idea is to do a bunch of similar stuff and make them into stickers maybe.

Man I haven't updated this thing in forever. Really it was just finals and I stopped doing everything-writing, drawing and even training to really try and save my grades and shit. Like that would work lol. Actually I written and drawn alot of stuff, I always get the most inspiration when i'm stressed out and under pressure. None if it's ready to be published though.

But it's the summer time it's time to get busy. I got some big things dropping soon. I'll leave you with some music. Rage out.

Personal Log: Is Anyone Out There?

I'm staring at my computer screen, but I don't really see it.
It's 3:26 AM. A lab packet lay discarded on my bed, i'm not sure
when I stopped working on it.
I should be sleeping. I should be doing homework. I'm not.
It's like I'm in a trance...my thoughts are muddy. Murky.
In my hand is a bottle of pills, nuclear orange and covered in warnings.

Murderer, robber, psychomatic schizophrenic

And here I am, in my room, eyes glazed, with amphetamines running through my
bloodstream.
What was I just doing? I can't seem to remember, and I can't seem to care either.
I push play. I've been listening to the same 4 songs for the past 5 hours. I can't stop.

Murderer, murderer, murderer, murderer,
Murderer, robber, ps
ychomatic schizophrenic

I'm hypnotized, because all day I hear about mass homicides and school shootings,
rape and wars and gun show loopholes. Riots, cancer, suicide...
And pills; everywhere more and more pills.
I need to get out of here. My sanity is long gone, but my mind is starting to
follow.

Murderer, murdererThis is pointless murderer, murderer
Murderer, murdererI need to sleep murderer, murderer
Murderer, murdererWhat the fuck is wrong with me? murderer, murderer

God, tell me, I need to know

Murderer, robber ps
ychomatic schizophrenic

Is an
ybody out there?

The Struggle

Read, assimilate, integrate, act.

The Struggle - 30 Seconds To Mars

A military force established by deception of sense
That you deceive enemies
So that they do not know your real condition,
And that they can establish supremacy.
It is mobilized by a game in a sense that
It goes into action when it sees an advantage,
Dividing and recombining is done to confuse opponents
And observe how they react to you so that they can adapt
And situate and seize victory.
Therefore, when it moves swiftly it is like the ramp,
When it goes slowly it is like the force.
It is rapacious as fire and immovable as mountains,
And as swift as the wind in that it goes without a trace and
Withdraws like lightning and it is like a force in that its whirling
And is rapacious as fire across a plain,
Not leaving a single blade of grass.
But as immovable as a mountain, and it is dark all around.
It is hard to know as the dark ends up killing thunder.
To ponder a locality to line up your troupes to expand
Your territory divide the spoils.
The rule for military operations is to feed of the enemy as much as possible,
However, the localities where people do no have very much
It is necessary to divide up the troupes into smaller groups
To take what they need here and there.
Then and there, that will be enough

Welcome to the Universe

Status Report: 5 Articles About Major Events

There's been a lot of crazy stuff on the news lately some of it's the same old, but some stuff, such as North Korea launching test missiles or the string of mass homicides takes it to another level. So here's 5 articles that I feel show the insanity of what's happening right now. These articles are all from either Newsweek, MSNBC, or the Washington Post.

Economy Linked to Spate of Mass Killings

Now this is straight up unreal. In the past month there has been 57 U.S. deaths due to mass homicides; 13 of these deaths (3 separate mass homicides) happened within a 48 hour time-frame. These homicides have taken place from citizenship centers to nursing homes to even a church retreat. The only reason anyone can even guess why this is happening is the economy, as many of the killers had either been laid-off or evicted. Scary.

Japan Is Outraged Over North Korea Missile

Here we go. N.K. gearing up for nuclear capabilities, with Russia and China backing them as allies. N.K. wants to be a nuclear power, and of course the U.S., Japan, and any of our other allies aint trying to hear that. N.K. tested their missile systems by launching one over Tokyo. Even though the missile did no damage, with the situation what it is there's always a possibility that this could provoke war should things spiral out of control. Damn.

Cyber Spies Penetrate U.S. Electrical Grid

Homeland Security has discovered that spies from Russia, China, and other countries have penetrated the U.S. electrical system and it's controls. The article states that the spies left behind programs that could be used to shut-down our systems should we go to war. However, the article says very little about what is being done to fix this situation. Fuck.

Mexico's Drug Violence Spills Over the Border

The cartels in Mexico have pretty much taken over the country. Americans are advised not go to Mexico because of the many tourists that were abducted or disappeared last month. Now apparently, what many feared would happen is: the violence is starting to spill over in the U. S. of A. Mexican drug cartels control about 90% of the cocaine trade in the US. Make sure to check out the Border War photos on this one.

Deadly gunbattle erupts as Thai protests spread

There's been alot of riots lately. Greece, Germany, Moldova, hell, even in the U.K. The latest one that's broken out is in Thailand. Protesters swarmed a summit of 16 leaders of Asian nations, causing the summit to be canceled and a State of Emergency to be issued. Now the violence has escalated, with automatic gunfire and tear gas being used to disable protesters. There's been a whole bunch of running battles with rioters throwing molotov cocktails at soldiers, which has caused thing to spiral out of control.

I think it's only a matter of time before a riot breaks out over here; with the economy being what it is and people losing their homes all over the place. The police and the government know this, that's why there's been such an increase in police forces. Anyway...

This is only a few articles, but there are many more crazy events across the world (the earthquake in Italy and the Somalian pirates for example). Things are bad, and we all know they're going to get much worse before they get better. But maybe things need to get worse, so that people can see that massive change is needed, that the old paradigm cannot continue if we want this turmoil to end.

And there's never been a better time in history for change.

Status Report: It's In The Open

The fire's are burning. People are talking about riots, militias, and a 2nd American Revolution. Here's what a few youtube rebels and revolutionaries are saying.

The American Resistance Movement

The Ohio Militia

Libertytreeradio

Whether or not you agree with these people or think they are what is being called "home-grown terrorists", the fact remains that there is enough moral and civil unrest that people are starting to take matters into their own hands.

What will you do?

WAR WITH NORTH KOREA? North Korea demands U.S. stop humanitarian aid supplies

North Korea demands U.S. stop humanitarian aid supplies

RIA Novosti

17/03/2009 22:08 WASHINGTON, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - A U.S. State Department spokesman said Tuesday that the United States would stop humanitarian aid supplies to North Korea after the communist state requested Washington discontinue the program.

Robert Wood said the U.S. had received an official request from North Korea several days ago. The notification contained no reasons for the rejection of the aid.

"Clearly, this is food assistance that the North Korean people need. That's why we're concerned," he said.

He added that the State Department would continue to cooperate with NGOs working in North Korea to make sure that earlier delivered humanitarian aid had reached those in need of it.

Wood also said that in 2008 and 2009, the U.S. had supplied 169,000 metric tons of humanitarian aid to North Korea, with the last batch of 5,000 tons dispatched in late January.

The North Korean decision comes amid rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang has called U.S.-South Korean military exercises preparation for war, and has also said that any attempt to shoot down what it calls a telecommunications satellite next month will also lead to armed conflict.

Seoul and Washington say the real purpose of the launch is to test a long-range Taepodong-2 missile, which is thought to have a range of 6,700 kilometers (4,100 miles) and could possibly reach Alaska.

Original source is globalsecurity.org. Check it yourself but they're a pretty reliable source.

War with NK? If the satellite is really a missile guidance system then should we shoot it down? (Those people are crazy.) If we go to war NK there might really be a draft, and what if they fire one of those missiles off, what then? Nuclear warfare?

Apocalypse in the Badlands #0

The world is going crazy. The news is one thing, there's always crazy stuff on there, but I'm starting to see shit go down in my own back yard.

The weather in Jersey is crazy always, but this season it's been on the some other shit. Construction is at an all time high. It's everywhere- zones being coned off all over the place, and lets not even talk about the police. They're everywhere, they sit and watch every intersection, and come out of backstreets and corners like roaches or something. Every move you make around here is observed. The cops have an abundance of new vehicles; all the cop cars have been upgraded to be Dodge Chargers or Derangos, but they still have all the old cars too. And now they're starting have alteast half of the of the cars be undercover. I've seen a whole bunch of teal and brown colored Chargers, and I've even seen some 2008 Honda Civics with absolutely no markings turn on cop lights and pull people over. To Serve and Protect? Yea right, it's To Search and Detect. They have plenty of ghost cars too, cars that sit by highway underpasses with no one in them just to scare you.

It's crazy man...

So right now i'm staying under the radar, creeping like a ninja in the night and shit. Through the smoke I observe how the powers move, then plan according. The world's gone crazy, but I was made for this.

Choose Your Destiny

These times are strange.

It's like there's a war going on outside nobody's safe from. Invisible and intangible but we all know we're ducking bullets. They could come from anywhere, at anytime, and be everything from a kid shooting up science class, to losing your home, to catching your garden variety cancer.

But, thankfully, we have been told by people more informed then us that you have a much better chance of making it through if you stay between the lines. The lines that lead right to the cheese, the pension, the degree in whatever your parents believe will get you ahead in the rat race. Truthfully I'm not any different from most people except for one thing.

They're looking at the cheese. I'm looking at the mouse trap.

I see where these lines lead, to spending all your money on houses, cars, and education until you're trapped in the cage of taxes, bills, and credit card debt. If you even make it there anyway.
But you know, it's times like these, when the country is in a depression and politics as we know it is changing, that history is made. And there's never been a time in history as crazy as now.

So when faced with the choice of getting a degree and acceptable job, having a wife and two kids and making my family oh-so-happy, or crossing these lines, navigating the danger, leaving my mark on this rock and most importantly, being true to myself I could only say one thing...

Fuck it.

Breathe

Deep breathes. In, and out.

I dream of starting a revolution, but how can I do that if I can't even breath properly.

So deep breathes, no matter where I am or what's happening to me.

Just deep breathes. In, and out.

Sirens

8:51 PM E.S.T., February 8th 2009 C.E.

I walked down into the kitchen only to freeze. A siren was going off, high and long and nothing like I had ever heard before.

Well, I actually heard Klaxons going off when I picked up my sister from school. At first I thought I was going crazy, but then my sister heard it too. We both just stood there until it stopped, then looked at each other with a distinct What The Fuck? expression.

This time the siren was different but just as eerie. Sirens are nothing new around here. you here them all day and all night - Ambulances, firetrucks, police - you name it. It's to the point where if I don't hear one or see flashing emergency lights flying down the streets it feels like something is out of place. I hear them in class and in my room when I'm trying, usually unsuccessfully, to sleep. Sometimes even when they're not there I hear the phantom ringing in my ears. I've asked other people and they say it happens to them too.

It's really just that bad.

But therer was something different about this one. The pitch, the length, it was all wrong, and I had no idea what it could be for. The only thing I could tell was that it was in the distance, but it was so loud that it reverberated off the houses on my block and probably around a good size of the town.

Strange things are going on, it's not lie anyone needs more proff the what is already there. But lately things have been wierder than usual, and I get the feeling that things will only get stranger.

Living In Fire

Yea yea it's dark and Hell is hot.
Our dail
y bread sex drugs and violence, and now
the whole world's burning, drenched in oil and set on fire.

The Third World, apparentl
y not our world, they burn from
the bullets and bombs. From the seemingl
y endless wars
and sickness and starvation.

We burn in a classroom, the curriculum a cell block, over medicated,
working until
you die for a system you serve instead of the other
wa
y it's supposed to be.

The people la
y in the flames of apathy and selfishness and greed,
and that sweet indulgent fluid called
lust. Destroying us, all for the
love of mone
y and sex, with the only thing spreading faster than disease
is corruption...

Look around, we're living in fire.

Writings: Vietnow

With the sounds of rage through the speakers I exhale the smoke,
and watch as it forms a vision of the world we live in.

It's a Vietnow kind of mind-state. What real here?
Terror and fear is the code that we live by
The God that we pra
y to.

A shadow covers the world like an eclipse.
I take m
y medication like the rest,
stuck in something we don't understand.
Knowing that there are men who hold absolute power,
and that the Earth itself is changing before our e
yes,
and it's be
yond scary so we drown ourselves in TV
and ever
y other form of escapism.

But here, in the smoke,
to the sound of the drums and the bass is where I'll alwa
ys see it.
And no amount of medication, of Ritalin and anti-depressant,
can distract me from I feel in m
y heart.

I don't want to be afraid an
ymore. Afraid of terrorists,
afraid of hell, afraid of judgment,
Afraid of each other...

Afraid of live for myself instead of living the "right" way.
And I know that if I keep walking down this road
I will die empty and unfulfilled.

This is the promise of the s
ystem.

But I refust all that now, and I will rage against this machine.

I will make this legend.
